Licensing
Choose a license for how you will run Cendia. Local development needs no key. Production, partner development and hosted evaluation have different terms.
Production license
For a live customer application. Production keys are issued against a signed contract. The agreement and issued entitlement define the term and website allowance.
Self-hosted / on-premises
Run the application on your own infrastructure, on-premises or in your cloud account. You operate the .NET host, SQL Server, media storage, HTTPS, backups and deployment process. Install the issued key under Settings → Configuration → License, or supply Cendia__License__Key in host configuration.
Cloud / Cendia hosted
Cendia Hosting provisions and operates the managed environment for your application. Licensing entitlement comes from the platform; you do not paste a license key into the hosted CMS. Agree the environment shape during onboarding.
- One stage — PROD: a production environment with direct deployment.
- Two stages — INTE → PROD: recommended for most projects. Develop and integrate in INTE, Push to the production slot, verify against production settings and data, then Swap.
- Three stages — INTE → PREP → PROD: add a preparation stage when a separate acceptance or release verification step is needed.
Each stage has its own database and storage configuration. Code promotion does not copy content; Swap Back does not reverse migrations or data changes. See hosting and deployment for the full workflow.
Developer / Partner license
For partners and implementation work. Ordinary local development already works without a key; request a Developer license when you need a licensed development deployment.
Developer licenses are issued on request, for 90, 180 or 365 days. They have a daily request limit of 50,000 unless the key specifies otherwise. The limit covers rendered pages and Delivery API calls together. Once installed, the key's expiry and request limit also apply on localhost.
This license is for development work. Arrange a Production license for the live customer application. Request a Developer / Partner license.
Trial license
For evaluating Cendia on a public host before committing to a deployment. Trial keys run for 10 or 30 days and have no daily request limit. Local evaluation does not need a key.
At the trial end date, publishing pauses. The site keeps serving during the key's renewal period, then stops serving if a current key has not been installed. The CMS stays available so an administrator can install a replacement.
Trial keys are currently issued on request. Request a Trial license.
Install and inspect your license
Use Settings → Configuration → License to install a key and inspect its type, expiry and allowances. Host configuration takes precedence over a key saved in the CMS. Cendia-hosted installations receive their entitlement from the platform.
